New trampoline academy starts in Dumbarton with lottery cash

Dumbarton Academy has received an injection of cash thanks to the lottery which has enable its members to jump for joy, literally, as the school now has two full-size trampolines for pupils to brush up on their skills.

Two sessions a week are now taking place in a scheme which was put in place to improve the fitness of secondary school pupils. Fans and customers of us alike will know how keen we are to promote the fitness angle of trampolining.

PE Teacher John Hammond was the man behind the grant after speaking to a fellow professional whilst on a training course. He knew it would be a good idea for the pupils and there was demand, so an application was made.

The grant has seen two competition sized trampolines installed with teachers and pupils now receiving training to improve their fitness whilst learning a new skill.
